March for Health and Safety @ UK Whitehall Quad 3:30pm

Join students, workers and community members for March for Health and Safety at the University of Kentucky. Starting at the quad behind Whitehall, we will be marching across campus in our masks to request a meeting with the President of UK, Eli Capilouto, in order to discuss demands for the safe and fair treatment of campus workers and students. 1) That UK meet the Kentucky Labor Department's "Healthy-at-Work" Minimum COVID-19 Safety Requirements for all Businesses, which include the right for staff and faculty to work remotely whenever possible.
2) Hazard pay for workers unable to work remotely and a living wage for all workers during and after the pandemic
3) Affordable, comprehensive healthcare for all workers
4) Cuts to the UK police department and upper administration salaries to fund these changes
5) And rolling quarterly meetings with President Capilouto and UCW to keep an open dialogue through which the voices of campus workers can be heard and we can be included in decisions about our lives and livelihoods.
